Category B Date Added 03/08/1971 Local Authority Dumfries And Galloway Planning Authority Dumfries And Galloway Parish Canonbie NGR NY 43277 77437 Coordinates 343277, 577437 — Early 19th century. Roadbridge, single wide segmental arch over River Liddel. Coursed stugged and squared rubble, with recessed ashlar arch-rings; ashlar parapets perhaps not original and splayed at approaches, terminal piers with pyramidal caps. — See SRO RHP 9711/1-2 designs for bridge over Liddel at Haithwaite Mill 1766 by John Armstrong and Samuel Halton: designs are similar though Halton's has recessed arch ring, as on existing bridge. Part in England.
