Details NOTTINGHAM SK54SE ARBORETUM STREET 646-1/4/10 (North West side) War memorial at south entrance to Nottingham High School GV II War memorial. c1920. Rockfaced Bulwell stone, Portland stone ashlar, bronze figure and plaques. Life-size figure of a junior officer in battle equipment, on a square pedestal with cornice and moulded base. Scrolled crest and inscription at the front, bronze plaques on the other sides. Lobed base, 3 steps. The memorial is set on a semicircular platform with central ashlar steps and rock-faced stone retaining walls with chamfered coping. Listing NGR: SK5659540867 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 24 January 2017.
