Category C Date Added 25/11/1980 Local Authority Aberdeenshire Planning Authority Aberdeenshire Parish Kincardine O'Neil NGR NJ 63583 00755 Coordinates 363583, 800755 — John Smith, 1826. Single, segmental-arched bridge with curved approaches, parapets swept down at abutments. Flat coped parapet over squared rubble. — The North Bridge is one a group of three small bridges designed by John Smith. South Bridge over the Learney Burn was built in 1826, but the Bridge over Beltie Burn was not built until 1833. No longer in use as a road bridge. Aberdeen based architect John Smith carried out many commissions in the north east of Scotland, including rebuilding part of Learney House after a fire in 1838. List description revised 2009.
