The Museum of London — currently mid-relocation from London Wall to a new site at Smithfield Market (reopening 2026) — covers London's history from prehistory to the present, holding the Roman London Wall fragment, a 1666 burning-of-London diorama, the Lord Mayor's State Coach, and the Cheapside Hoard of Tudor jewellery. Free entry; one of the most-visited London museums for schools and families.
