Details RAMSGATE MADEIRA WALK TR 3864 NW (north side) 13/253 Memorial to the Great War GV II War Memorial. 1920 by Gilbert Bayes. Portland stone. A lifesize nude, shrouded and holding her head (awakening from the dead?). She sits on a pedestal placed on a paved platform with a mosaic circle around the base, with 3 steps down, and backed with a segmental panel inscribed: The Great War 1914-1918: TO ALL WHO SERVED HONOUR Signed Gilbert Bayes, 1920, on base of pedestal. Listing NGR: TR3849264841 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 30 November 2016.
