Details ACTON SCOTT SO48NW 1312-1/9/3 A 49 (East side) Marsh Brook Bridge II Former turnpike road bridge (now by-passed) over the Marsh Brook. Late C18. Coursed rubble and ashlar. Single segmental arched span of squared dressed stone with single ring of ashlar voussoirs. Coursed rubble spandrels. Ashlar string course stepped to the south side. Large coursed rubble parapets with dressed rounded tops. Coursed rubble approach road retaining walls with ashlar quoins. This entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 4 December 2017.
