Details SJ 9273; 886-1/7/125 MACCLESFIELD, MACCLESFIELD CANAL (North side), Bridge No. 38 (Black Road) II Road bridge over canal. 1831. William Crosley, engineer. Roughly coursed and squared Kerridge stone, laid in smaller blocks above the parapet. A skew bridge, with segmental archway, the voussoirs and keystones cemented over. Slightly raking string course and parapet accommodating slope of road bed. Projecting terminal piers with flat stone copings.
