Category C Date Added 28/01/2000 Local Authority Dumfries And Galloway Planning Authority Dumfries And Galloway Parish Inch NGR NX 06177 68891 Coordinates 206177, 568891 — 1841. Graveyard to Inch Parish Church (now demolished, see Notes). Predominantly mid to late 19th century headstone graves. Square-plan castellated mausoleum to E boundary wall; iron gate to entrance. BOUNDARY WALLS: low rubble boundary walls enclosing site. — Standing to the N of Cairnryan, this village graveyard is distinguished by its finely detailed castellated mausoleum. The bastions to the walls enclosing Lochryan House (see separate list description) are of similar form, but less ornate, the alignment of the main road (A77) following World War II, breaking the close site relationship. The accompanying church (built 1841 as a chapel of ease) was demolished in 1990.
