Heritage listing
Details Railway Street Littleborough Littleborough War Memorial War Memorial. Dedicated on the 17th June, 1922. Designed by Bradshaw, Hope and Gass, architects, of Bolton. The monument is made up of a York stone obelisk which stands upon a square pedestal. This in turn stands on a platform formed from two wide steps which lead to two narrow steps at the base of the pedestal. The front face of the obelisk has a carved wreath at mid-height, and is topped with a stone bearing a carved cross in relief on all four faces. At the base of the obelisk, on the front face of the pedestal is a granite plaque on which the names of the Fallen of the two World Wars are inscribed. The memorial stands in a small semi-circular garden in the centre of Littleborough. This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 30 January 2017.
