Category B Date Added 26/01/1971 Supplementary Information Updated 19/12/2019 Local Authority Moray Planning Authority Moray Parish Drainie NGR NJ 22313 69582 Coordinates 322313, 869582 — CROSS: plain stone shaft, probably of medieval date, tapering vestiges of chamfering and stops at apex, surmounted by later iron cross. Mounted on 3-stepped stone plinth. BURIAL GROUND: walled enclosure on site of early medieval Kineddar Church, of which no trace remains. Walls, A and W Reid, 1853. — Kineddar ante-dates Spynie Church and Palace (13th century) as site of Bishopric of Moray.
