RAILINGS AND BOUNDARY WALL: iron railings surmount low coped boundary wall enclosing statue. — John Taylor (1805-1842) was a Chartist, sent to jail for radical beliefs and libellous articles published in the "Ayrshire Reformer" of which he was editor.
