The village is dominated by the stately home and estate, Holkham Hall, and a beach, Holkham Gap, at the centre of Holkham National Nature Reserve. Holkham is located 1.8 miles (2.9 km) north-west of Wells-next-the-Sea and 31 miles (50 km) north-west of Norwich.
