Details HIGHAM FERRERS MARKET SQUARE SP9668SW (East side) 20/63 War Memorial approx. 16m. N of Town Hall GV II War memorial. Early C20. Limestone ashlar. Rectangular pier with rusticated sides and tall panel to front and rear. Moulded cornice with segmental pediment over. Relief figure depicting Peace on front panel and laurel wreaths to sides. Inscription in front panel, "In memory of gallant men from this town who fell in the Great War 1914-1918". Naves are listed below and on the reverse panel. Listing NGR: SP9603468464 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 4 October 2017.
