Details HAYLE COMMERCIAL ROAD, Hayle SW 5637-5737 11/75 The War Memorial - GV II War memorial. Circa early C20 to commemorate those who died in the 1914-18 world war. Dressed granite. Octagonal plan sarcophagus on a stepped base. Over the sarcophagus is a tapered cross shaft surmounted by a Celtic cross. The sarcophagus chest has a moulded plinth and cornice ; alternate sides have recessed inscribed panels. Attached to the other sides are panels inscribed to those who died in the 1939-45 world war. Listing NGR: SW5616137688 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 13 December 2016.
