Details STANHOPE WESTGATE NY 93 NW 19/303 Haswick's Bridge over River Wear II Bridge, early and later C19. Coursed squared stone and rock-faced stone. 2 large, deep segmental arches with double voussoirs. Cutwater between has low, rounded buttress. Roadbed-level band and parapet with rounded coping. At right a later, rock-faced section holds accommodation arch, with brick voussoirs, now blocked with stone below and boarding above. Parapet of this section slopes up to a low central peak.
