Details SE2135SE LS28 CALVERLEY LANE PUDSEY (east side), Farsley 5/107 War Memorial including enclosing wall and railings GV II War Memorial and low wall surmounted by railings. c1921. Granite plinth and statue on ashlar base, ashlar walls with cast-iron railings. Forms a triangular plot. Plinth surmounted by statue of soldier in trench coat. Enclosing walls have chamfered coping surmounted by cast-iron rod railings with flame finials and typical period panels with trefoil heads. Bears the makers" name of- "SVTCLIFFE BROS BRADFORD". Prominently sited at the junction of 2 roads in front of the former council offices in the centre of the village. Listing NGR: SE2180235488 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 10 August 2017.
