Category B Group Category Details 100000019 - 52, 54-57 Date Added 22/02/1972 Local Authority Aberdeenshire Planning Authority Aberdeenshire Parish Fordyce NGR NJ 55879 64715 Coordinates 355879, 864715 — Probably Archibald Simpson, circa 1840. Single span bridge; mainly tooled ashlar with some rubble work. Shallow segmental ashlar arch ring springing from ashlar abutments; rectangular end piers with panelled face linked by band course and ashlar parapet; splayed approaches. Approximate span: 25'. — Glassaugh House re-cast to S and much enlarged in 1840 (architect, Archibald Simpson); new drive from E constructed at this time necessitated bridging the Burn of Fordyce.
