Category B Date Added 14/12/1970 Local Authority Edinburgh Planning Authority Edinburgh Burgh Edinburgh NGR NT 25481 77241 Coordinates 325481, 677241 — OLD HARBOUR LIGHT: circa 1830. Circular-plan; battered ashlar base; weathered yellow sandstone blocks; polished ashlar to raised margins; projecting base course, cornice and blocking course with chamfered edge. Concrete dome in place of lantern. Door to E slightly recessed; single blocked window to S. Horizontal stone slabs surround base course; concrete beyond. Full-height railings to W mark boundary with development to rear. INTERIOR: not seen 1996. — B Group with Newhaven Harbour and New Lighthouse, Newhaven (see separate list entries). No longer in use but relatively intact. Previously listed with Newhaven Harbour and New Lighthouse (now listed separately).
