For 42 Years in practice in Kilmarnock. A Skilful Physician Devoted to Duty. This Memorial of a singularly pure and unselfish life of usefulness erected by public subscription 1896. To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die'. Shaft composed of 4 Corinthian attached columns with chamfered bases; short shaft above with statue of Hygeia (Goddess of Health). — B-Group with Howard Park Gates, Cholera Monument, Old Men's Hut, Park Keeper's House. Elaborate sandstone memorial in memory of local doctor, Alexander Marshall.
