Details HARWICH TM2531 FRONKS ROAD, Dovercourt 609-1/7/156 War Memorial II War memorial. 1919. Limestone with bronze plaques and ornament. Cruciform main structure of 4 aedicules each with dentil capped pilasters, plain entablature and gabled cornice, enclosing series of bronze plaques. Platform is unequal-sided octagon and angled square plinth/buttresses with bronze dolphin angled at each corner of main block. Above aedicules, 2 receding step-like blocks. Memorial to Officers and Men of The Royal Naval Reserve, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, Auxiliary Reserve and Minesweepers. Plaques list vessels as well as lives lost. Listing NGR: TM2540431122 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 12 January 2017.
