Official information
The Battle of Aberdeen, fought on 13 September 1644, was a significant engagement during the Wars of the Three Kingdoms. It saw Royalist forces led by James Graham, Lord Montrose, defeat a Covenanter army, resulting in a violent aftermath for the city of Aberdeen.
