The Corporation purchased a total of 19 acre of land but only 8 acre were used for laying out the cemetery, the remainder was let for farming. Description
The cemetery covers approximately 8 acre. The cemetery chapel was built in the Gothic style, with sandstone dressings and a red tiled roof.
