Details GRAFTON CROFTON SU 26 SE 5/28 Crofton Crossing Lock No 61 and accommodation bridge GV II Canal lock on Kennet and Avon canal. 1799-1810. John Rennie, Chief Engineer Lock brick with stone copings. Timber gates. Upper gates with ground paddles, inset ladder in lock. Lower gates with gear for gate paddles. Both gates restored-1975. Accommodation bridge below lower gate, bullnosed 330 mm brick ring dying into lock wall. Two course string and parapet with flush round brick coping, the bridge splayed on plan.
