Slate roofs with crested ridge tiles. Richly carved large bargeboards with trailing foliage design to front gables and plain bargeboards to rear gables. Asymmetrically disposed tall stacks, unrendered brick to rear service wings and rendered to front range with moulded ashlar caps and yellow clay pots. Asymmetrical plan. 3 principal rooms to garden front which consists of 2 tall gable-ended wings flanking recessed short connecting bay. Axial rear passage with principal entrance to stairhall to left side. The adjoining rear right-hand service block is set slightly to the right of the front wing; the rear left-hand service wing with lower ridge level completes the rear courtyard plan and then returns to the left to form an additional 2-storey 2-room plan range with a lofted integral outbuilding at the left end. This range faces the farm courtyard at the rear of the house; with its separate entrance it appears to have been originally intended for independent farm occupation. 2 storeys. Right-hand wing has attic storey. Each wing has large 4-paned sash over canted ashlar bay windows with 4-paned sashes reaching to ground level and zig-zag decoration to the lintels. Left-hand wing has blank shield to gable. Recessed central bay has a 16-paned sash with hoodmould over slate verandah leanto roof and French bay-window with margin glazing bars. Left side has semi-circular arched window with moulded surround above Ionic style porch with fluted columns, moulded entablature with paterae to the frieze and pilasters flanking segmental arched doorway with 4-panelled door.
