Details SU 06 SE 7/1 ALL CANNINGS Bridge on Kennet Avon Canal, north of Townend II Accommodation bridge over Kennet and Avon Canal. c1807, John Rennie, Chief Engineer. English bond brickwork. An oval arch of lΒ½ bricks with bullnosed arris, two-course string at base of parapet with flush stone copings, and terminating in slight piers. Abutments splayed on plan. At north end, a GWR lozenge iron weight restriction sign, the loading inserts missing. Canal towpath has stone revetments and a slot for a timber sluice.
