Details CROOK AND WILLINGTON THE GREEN (West end) NZ 13 NE Billy Row 24/26 War Memorial II War memorial. Circa 1918. Portland stone. Life-size figure of soldier, hands resting on rifle, on c. 4m. high pedestal which has unfluted Corinthian columns at corners supporting entablature with wide cornice. Low square step to plinth; pedestal has names of dead 1914-1918 and 1939-1945 on all sides, one side devoted to Billy Row, one to Grahamley,one to Roddymoor and one to White Lea districts. Fluted frieze and laurel wreath above each panel. Listing NGR: NZ1607937266 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 7 February 2017.
