Category B Date Added 16/04/1971 Local Authority Aberdeenshire Planning Authority Aberdeenshire Parish Alford NGR NJ 55390 16116 Coordinates 355390, 816116 β Dated 1804 and 1826. Originally a round-arched version of Kildrummy design with bow-staircase at rear; 1826 lengthened, 3rd S. window added. Harled, margins, bellcote on W. gable. Interior with gallery on doric columns. Good exterior wall monuments and tablets; Geo. Melvil, 1678; Mary Forbes (Balfluig Monument) 1725, elaborate, panel framed in heavy mouldings, flanked by figures with labels; winged putto on top; relief cadaver below; Wm. Badenach 1746.
