Beaches, Eden Project, Tintagel — two weeks west of the Tamar.
Cornwall in August is busy. Plan it as inland in the morning (Eden, Lanhydrock, Trelissick) and beach in the afternoon. Stay west of Truro for the bigger surf beaches; east of Truro for the prettier coves.
