Scotland's island distilleries — particularly Islay's eight working sites — produce some of the most distinctive whiskies in the world. A 10-day island-hopping route from Glasgow takes in Bowmore, Laphroaig, Ardbeg, Lagavulin on Islay; Jura distillery on Jura; Talisker on Skye; and Highland Park on Orkney. CalMac and NorthLink ferries connect them.
