Skye: a five-day Hebridean island tour

The Cuillin, the Old Man of Storr, and a thousand square miles of basalt and gneiss.

Skye is the largest of the Inner Hebrides — 50 miles long, 25 miles wide, and almost entirely volcanic. The Cuillin range in the south is the most challenging mountain ground in Britain. The Trotternish ridge in the north has the Old Man of Storr and the Quiraing's strange landslip. Five days lets you see both ends and most of the smaller stops between.
