The Ceredigion coast: Aberystwyth to Cardigan
Cliffs, castles and small harbour towns along the Ceredigion coast between Aberystwyth and Cardigan.
Aberystwyth Castle and the National Library of Wales, the country's biggest library, anchor the northern end of this coastal trail. Constitution Hill overlooks Cardigan Bay beside the Aberystwyth Cliff Railway. Further south, the harbour town of Aberaeron and New Quay's lifeboat station lead towards Cardigan, where Cardigan Castle overlooks the River Teifi and Cardigan Island shelters a colony of grey seals offshore. Borth's sandy beach lies just north of Aberystwyth, on the Ceredigion Coast Path.
