Britain's best bluebell woods (April–May)
Where to find the carpet flower in peak weeks.
Britain holds half the world's English bluebells. Peak flowering is the last two weeks of April through the first week of May, after a wet winter. Best sites: Hole Park (Kent), Coton Manor (Northamptonshire), Ashridge Estate (Hertfordshire), Wenlock Edge (Shropshire), and Holwell Down in Devon. Many are National Trust or RHS gardens with timed entry.
