Anglo-Saxon architecture (c.600–1066) is the surviving handful of pre-Conquest churches in Britain. Long-and-short stone quoins, simple round or triangular-headed openings, slim square towers. Brixworth, Earls Barton, Greensted, Escomb and Bradford-on-Avon are among the few intact examples.
